Rotax powered aircraft
There are a growing number of aircraft – many of which are LSA’s (Light Sport Aircraft) – with the Rotax 912 or 914 (turbo), . There are a few operational differences to be aware of. We will be happy to elaborate and help you get the most out of this fine and highly reliable powerplant .
Sportcruiser and PS28
The Sportcruiser (later sold as the PS28) is one of several LSA’s (MAUW 600 kg) authorised for day VFR only. It is built by Czech Sport Aircraft in Kunovice. Compared with the familiar C172 or PA28, they are more lightly built, with highly responsive controls, yet able to cruise at 100 knots or so. They can be equipped with ‘steam gauges’ or glass cockpit, fixed pitch or constant-speed propeller, with or without auto-pilot. There is an active owners community, with vast collective knowledge of how to operate and maintain these excellent aircraft. We can help you convert onto the Sportcruiser in all its variants, and supply you with a tailor-made checklist / mini-POH.
