If you want a quick reference to many aspects of PPL theory, you could of course go to our own Downloads page for course materials. There are also some free resources available, of which the FAA’s PHAK (Pilot Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge) is second to none. You can download individual chapters, or go the whole hog and download the entire document.

The New Zealand CAA publishes an excellent series of flight instructor briefings, including more advanced topics of interest to PPL’s such as mountain flying, night flying and instrument flight.
